Intro：Vandeville Falls (previously known as Silverfall) is fronted by lead singer and songwriter Jenny Bailey. After realizing that it was deeply impractical to travel between Jenny's home town of Mexborough in South Yorkshire and London to rehearse, the band are now all London-based.
Their musical influences encompass Fleetwood Mac, The Smiths, Cyndi Lauper, Coldplay, David Bowie, Rufus Wainwright, Elton John, Jewel and many others far too numerous to mention! Jenny's lyrics have warmth, maturity and depth, combined with a natural storytelling charm, and their ability to come up with a classic pop hook (witness When I Fall and Hey Now, to name but two) stands with the best.
The band have just finished recording their first album with producer Ian Grimble, who has worked with acts as diverse as The Cranberries, Texas and The Manic Street Preachers. The album, 'Ten Years Of Talk In Mexico City', will be available in August '09 on Kit Records.
