Kate St John来自英国，年少时放弃了她的古典音乐专业训练，80年代中期跟随Dream Academy乐队一起成为流行乐界的明星，是一名歌者和演奏家，也是一名出色的曲词作家。她精通多种乐器，擅长双簧管，萨克斯和人声的演绎。曾和Van Morrison、Roger Eno、Tears For Fears等众多艺人合作。
